Snowpocalpyse 2014

Snowpocalypse 2014 was pretty dang awesome. And it lasted for a wondrous 5 days, which is just about the minimum AND maximum amount of time I want to deal with snow. I went to college in Spokane, WA (that's in the northeastern section, for those of you that aren't aware), so I've had my share of 8-month winters, but I do still enjoy getting snow here in Portland. The city shuts down, it becomes peaceful and quiet, and expectations are suddenly dropped for a few days.

This year, I spent my time making more lavish meals, crafting (I'm teaching myself to sew!), going on walks, and spending lots of time with D. It was pretty dang great. Here are some fun pictures from this year's Snowpocalypse:

Betsy wasn't so sure at first, but then she warmed up to the crunchy snow.

When I went for a walk, it was blustery and cold, but beautiful.

I've started teaching myself to sew (I'm making D a robe!), and Betsy discovered how best to annoy me!

There was ice EVERYWHERE the last two days! It was really slippery and cold, but really pretty.

Here are great some posts about Snowpocalypse 2014 from two Portland friends:
Wendi and Lucas
