Remember when I said months ago that we've been trying to cut back? Well, it was a bit harder than I thought it would be to make every single meal we ate together a homemade one. In fact, we still average about two take-out dinners a week. However, nothing beats knowing exactly what has gone into my meal, and of course, the financial benefits are obviously a plus.
Here's a snapshot into some of the planned (and executed!) meals we've had recently:
simple stir fry with chickpeas and green beans |
gluten-free spaghetti with marinara sauce (from a jar) and fresh veggies |
dilapidated tofu burger, homemade fries, with veggie sides |
cheater dinner: after a full day and night of baking, we decided to get some Thai to go: avocado curry with tempeh |
