My New Neighborhood

I'm not quite ready to show you pictures of the new house yet, mostly because, let's face it, we haven't even lived here a month and it's not ready to show the world. But I AM excited to show you all the food possibilities we're living within walking distance of. The area we live in is NE Portland, and in the last few years it has become quite gentrified. Although I'm not usually a proponent of that sort of social situation, it has resulted in an area that is becoming rich in food and culture.

Within just a mile radius, we have delicious Mexican food, amazing Ethiopian cuisine, and food carts that include Native Bowl. Oh, and of course there is a bar that serves gluten-free beer. So that makes me pretty happy, too.

Ethiopian food - sooo good!
Gluten-free beer!!
Yummy Mexican food!

The neighborhood is also full of churches. There are three located within one block of our house.

Finally, one of my favorite parks in all of Portland is just a short bike ride away.

I can't wait to continue exploring this new neighborhood and seeing all that it has to offer.
