Last week was busy; I spent a lot of time in the sun, had plans almost every single night of the week, and worked extra hours at my job. This week has also been busy, with social engagements, business meetings, and work. As it seems to be every year, summer is one of my busiest (yet most enjoyable) times of the year. The longer days makes doing things more enticing, and I find myself out biking at random hours, going to outdoor parties, and enjoying barbecues.
That being said, this week's Friday Finds is a compilation of two weeks of internet finds, so there's double the pleasure, etc. of the posts I normally put on here. Enjoy!
These orange zested rainbow crispies from Spabettie look beyond a doubt fantastic. I want some NOW.
If you substitute full-fat coconut milk for the cream in this recipe, these rhubarb Italian sodas will be vegan and delicious in an instant.
This miso-tahini dressing from The Kitchn looks so unique and yet I think it would be really great on top of kale and summer greens.
Raw pots de creme?! Oh my, my heart just exploded!
Oh, snap, these vanilla cream and wild berry tartlettes are now blowing my mind. I need to get some coconuts, stat.
Here is another tart. This time: peanut butter is in the crust and jam is the topping. Genius.
You may not have known, but traditional play-doh is made with wheat flour, meaning that if you have a gluten intolerance, you shouldn't really be handling it. That's why this gluten-free play-doh from Lexie's Kitchen is a great substitute!
I just got some garlic scapes from my CSA and didn't know what to do with them - making this pesto seems like a great place to start.
I'm a little scared of agar agar, but I might have to get over my fear to make this vanilla bean panna cotta.
And finally, registration has opened for Vida Vegan Con 2013!! Are you as excited as I am?!?
