Thanksgiving is right around the corner! Vegans sometimes have a difficult time finding food during this holiday that's centered on a bird carcass, but never fear; if you live in Portland, there are plenty of options for you. My favorite vegan hangouts, Blossoming Lotus, Portobello, and Papa G's are all having special dinners (see below for the menus), plus, you can order treats from the bakeries I've listed here. And, Vegansaurus has done the sleuthing for you for other cities' vegan feasts.
Blossoming Lotus: 3 or 6 p.m.
Four Course Dinner ($40/person dine-in, $45/person take-out)
House-made spiced cider, served warm
Wild Arugula and Almond Gouda Salad w/ roasted cranberries, almond gouda crumbles, and julienned carrots, dressed with Chardonnay-poached golden beet vinaigrette
Sweet Potato and Toasted Chili Bisque w/ fennel cashew cream and herbed spelt croutons
Maple and Sage Roasted Tempeh Cutlet w/ wild rice and chanterelle mushroom cornbread stuffing, and savory roasted fall vegetables, served over a golden pumpkin gravy, garnished with micro greens

Three Course Prix-Fixe ($35/person)
Corn Bread n' Spread (gf), Pumpkin Soup w/ spicy pepita seeds and chestnuts (gf) OR Roast Beet Salad w/ hazelnut vinaigrette, radish, apple and farro
Seitan Roast w/ gravy, roast Brussels sprouts, cranberry relish, and bread stuffing OR Stuffed Cabbage w/ wild mushroom, root vegetable, & wild rice stuffing, served w/ carrot veloute (gf)
