The Week in Review

The first week of Vegan MoFo is over - and that means it's already the 8th of October! How can this month be rushing along so quickly? Here's what happened on my blog the past week:

Sunday: I showed you my first idea for bringing food from the farm to your table, with caramelized carrots.

Monday: Recipe Monday featured baked purple potato fries!

Tuesday: This week's CSA share offered many soup-worthy options.

Wednesday: Wordless Wednesday showcased my delicious weekend brunch from Portland restaurant Blossoming Lotus.

Thursday: My dear friend Alyssa shared a great-looking gluten-free and vegan recipe for scones in this blog's first My Favorite Omnivore.

Friday: I reviewed Dr. McDougall's organic packaged soups.

In other news:

Denmark government has voted in a new tax on foods that are higher in fat, salt and sugar.

Dairy might have a role (in Celiac patients) in causing Type I Diabetes. 

I found out my favorite Portland vegan burger food cart will be opening a cafe (on my birthday!) (see the Twitter news below:)
