I love pickles. I grew up eating Claussen pickles with my grilled cheese sandwiches, and I've never gotten over my love of the crunchy, salty and delicious snack.
I grabbed as many pickling cucumbers as I could at this week's CSA so that I could begin the awesome process of pickling them. Homemade pickles are even more tasty than store-bought, and they take hardly any time at all.
I was so excited to get these pickling cucumbers last Sunday!
Ingredients needed
Soooo much salt
I used this recipe, which I found in an old Bell jar cookbook
Into the jar they go
Taking a hot bath
The finished product; now I have to wait for them to sit in the brine a few weeks before I can dig in!
