Community-Supported Agriculture - Week 6

I really do love fresh, locally-grown organic food. Nothing beats knowing exactly where your food comes from and talking to the folks who harvested it (or at least saw it loaded into the truck).

Yesterday's trip to the FarMar with D gave us a plentiful bounty, but, being the selfish person I am, I decided to go to a few other booths and pick up some fresh veggies that weren't available at our CSA.

From a booth other than my CSA: carrots, corn on the cob, garlic, and yellow cauliflower (I especially can't wait to try that!).

From Gee Creek Farms (l-r, counter-clockwise from bottom): popcorn, broccoli, cucumbers (guess what I pickled yesterday afternoon!), hummus, beets, funky spinach, kale, lettuce, and sweet onions.
