Have I expressed my love of Missionary Chocolates yet? I really don't think I've adequately proclaimed my love of this local company's fabulous, vegan and gluten-free truffles.
I recently purchased a LivingSocial deal for two boxes of 4 truffles. It was quite a deal, and I snatched it up right away, disappointed I couldn't buy more for other people.
I went in today and got a chance to see the behind-the-scenes of the operation. It smelled delicious, first of all, and since they share their space with Trailhead Coffee Roasters (also a fabulous place), I was offered a [free] mug of coffee the moment I walked in.
The sisters who run the company are friendly, personable, and super helpful. I had the best time chatting with them and eating all the samples they gave me.
I ended up getting the boxes for two of my friends, and I tried to choose flavors that fit each of them personally.
I love Missionary Chocolates. Be sure and check them out online or, if you live in the Portland metro area, at local shops and farmers' markets (including Back to Eden and the King Farmer's Market at NE 7th and Wygant on Sundays).
This box contains two Trailhead Espresso and two Dark Chocolate Delight truffles.
This box contains one each of the following: Trailhead Espresso, Meyer Lemon Explosion, Spicy Cinnamon Chipotle, and Peppermint.
