I recently was given the splendid opportunity to interview the lovely ladies from the delicious [and local] raw company,
Pixie Retreat (find them on Facebook
here). They are fantastic people, and their food is just as fantastic, if not more. If you live in the Portland area, I urge you to give them a try. Their items, both savory and sweet, are available at
Alberta Co-op,
People's Co-op and
Portobello Vegan Trattoria.
Pixie Retreat foods are vegan, mostly raw, all organic, made with locally-sourced ingredients, and sugar-, agave-, soy- and gluten-free.
My entire article will be found in the Alberta Co-op quarterly newsletter, which will come out later this spring. For the time being, though, prepare to drool as you check out the following pictures of their food. Believe me, it's just as good as it looks.
