Traveling

this suitcase can be found on www.paper-source.com

It should come as no surprise that I love to travel. As I've recounted on my blog in the last three years, I've been all over the country, and I make it a point to go somewhere at least once, if not twice (or more) a year.

Traveling keeps me sane; it breaks up the everyday routine and makes me appreciate what I have back home.

I will soon be traveling again, and I'm very excited. This time I'm going out of the country, to Canada.

I've been to Europe twice but I've never been to either Mexico or Canada. This is silly on both counts, since I have lived in Portland (a mere 6 hours away from Canada) my entire life, and I've visited many southern states (California, Texas, Louisiana) and could have made the extra drive to Mexico.

However, all that is about to change, because I will be headed up to Vancouver and Victoria BC in about a week and a half.

As I'm wont to do, I've been scouring the internets in my free time, checking out cool places to visit and see (and eat, of course). But I could always use extra help. If you have been to either Canadian city, please take the time to list your favorite stop(s).

Until the Big Trip, I'm getting ready by doing some baking prep (gotta have delicious travel food, right?), cleaning my house (hate coming back to a messy home), getting an oil change from a "green" garage, and getting all my affairs in order. I love vacations, but sometimes you need one just to escape all the prep you did to go on it!

Thanks, JL! Yeah, I'm super excited about getting out of the country, but Florida would be much warmer! ;)
