Oh, by the way, I'm not a bunny. Just in case you were confused. Here I am:
That, my friends, is my brand-new haircut and I took this on my brand-new iPhone 4 (in the car - sssh!). |
A special friend just came into town yesterday, so I decided to perform a baking mission.
It started with peanut butter cups.
Then, it quickly snowballed into so much more...
Operation: Baking Bunny commenced as such:
1. I turned on the oven.
2. I gathered the ingredients.
3. I put on a soundtrack (my playlist included such variety as La Roux
4. I poured some wine (2 Copas is a cheap and tasty red table wine that's perfect for baking -- I mean, to drink while baking).
5. I started doing my thang.
Here's what I made:
-peanut butter cups, from Bittersweet
-peppermint chocolate cups, also from Bittersweet
-thin mintz, from Manifest Vegan
-chocolate chip cookie balls (they are better eaten frozen/raw than baked, I discovered), from Manifest Vegan
-pumpkin cinnamon rolls, from Manifest Vegan
-gluten free graham crackers, from Gluten Free Girl (I used agave instead of honey)
-chocolate peanut butter, from Oh She Glows
-hummus, from Mark Bittman
-falafel, from Vegetarian Times (I used a flax "egg" instead of a real one)
As you can see, I was busy! But the thrill of baking and cooking gave me such a high that I didn't even notice the time (or the days) go by.
As I said before, while I'm gone, I will be turning over the tables (so to speak) to some very capable ladies, who will lead you on a culinary journey all their own. I can't wait to share their delightful posts with you; I know you will love them as much as I do. I'll see you back here in a week and a half!
