My Pledge to Live Ethically By Wasting Less

I was on a study- and work-break this evening when I found the lovely Pixiepine Blog (go here). I found a recent post on there in which the author pledges to dress ethically. I think I've made my own philosophy clear many times on this site, but I would like to reiterate my belief that we all need to be conscientious consumers.

Leslie's pledge is to wear clothes that are pre-loved, handmade, reconstructed, made with ethical/environmentally-friendly materials, and made by a company with strong ethical policy and workers' rights. Ultimately, she wants to reduce the amount of things people use in the first place.

Ahhh, a girl after my own heart!

So, here is my official pledge: I promise to live in a way that leaves as little of an impact on the earth as possible, by reducing my overall buying and by trying to use products that have been...

made with environmentally-friendly components
minimally processed
made domestically.

If you are willing to make the same pledge, let me know! Spread the word!

Live a life that you can feel good about!
