Helen's Kitchen Review, Part II

As you know, I paced up and down the aisles of Whole Foods recently, looking for a product from Helen’s Kitchen that was 1) available (they seem to sell out really quickly!) and 2) something I could eat. I finally found two such items. The first one, the BBQ Tofu Steaks, was reviewed HERE. This post will review the second item I found, which was the Indian curry with Tofu Steaks Over Rice (from this link, scroll to the very bottom of the screen, where you will find this specific entree).

The flavors in this frozen meal were quite delicious, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ingredients. I enjoyed the sauce, although I would have preferred a bit more spice (wow - I can't believe I just wrote that!). I thought its slight sweetness was quite tasty. Overall, the meal tasted amazingly fresh. I would like to try the Thai Yellow Curry with Tofu Steaks over Basmati Rice next. It's reassuring and nice to find that there are quality, fresh-tasting frozen entrees out there for vegans-on-the-go.
