These are a few of the things I'm digging this week:
-yogurt from Gata Foods; made locally, in Tigard (10 miles from Ptown!), it's delicious, soy-free, and vegan. Okay, it's also hella rich. It's like eating full-fat cream out of a yogurt container. The first time I tried it, I couldn't even eat it all in one sitting. But, it's amazingly smooth and tasty and flavorful. Definitely worth the expense (and the fact that it's hard to find - I saw it at Market of Choice in West Linn, but it's not at any New Seasons, fyi).
-Buddha Bites food cart, located at SW 4th and College (right across the street from PSU's Engineering School). I ate there twice last week, and both times were amazing. I enjoy their soy- and dairy-free cheese+tomato+avocado sandwich on gluten-free bread. WOW. Delicious.
-the fact that I go to Homegrown Smoker so much that they know me and know that I am gluten intolerant. Sweet. (by the way, if you are there, try their slaw, or their Frito pie, or their sweet potato fries, or their...)
-the nacho platter at Papa G's Vegan Organic Deli. It's delightfully spicy and probably waaaay more carbs than I should be ingesting right now, but it was also completely worth it.
