I went to the Green Dragon with a friend today, and I was really blown away by their mission statement on their "about" page. They strive to be green and sustainable, and at the same time, they offer a great beer selection and really yummy food. I enjoyed a grilled portobello sandwich (even without the aioli, it was still juicy enough that I didn't need any additional condiments) and a salad for $9. I shared fries with my friend, and they were really delicious, as well. Add to that, we were able to eat outside (even though the sun was hidden once in a while), and after a while, a bluegrass band could be heard from the inside. It was, overall, a really enjoyable experience. They are located in a bit of an obscure area, and, had we not been driving through back roads to get to Hawthorne, I probably wouldn't have even gone by them in the first place, but I'm glad that we did.
