Recent Lunch Experiences

I went to Hopworks Urban Brewery for lunch today (for the first time). I had so many entrees and salads and pizzas to choose from that it was hard to pick, but I finally decided upon the "Portland Bella" sandwich, which consisted of a delicious portobello mushroom soaked in balsamic vinegar with a tomato, "slices" of lettuce, and a roasted red pepper hummus dressing. It was amazing. I also got the fries and the minestrone soup, and the pretzel sticks for an appetizer. Don't forget to ask for no cheese on the sandwich and the soup, and you'll have a lovely vegan lunch. Go 3-5 p.m. every day for happy hour.

Yesterday I visited the Hazel Dell Brew Pub for a delightful afternoon snack. I got the vegetarian nachos, which are actually on the appetizer section of the menu, and just asked for no cheese or sour cream, but added avocado slices. It also came with vegetarian chili, which I poured on top for that extra flavor.
