smoothies

Because of the warmer weather (and frankly, because I was inspired by a friend who's trying to incorporate a more raw diet into her life), I've started having a smoothie each morning for breakfast. It's the perfect way to start the day, plus it's no fat, low calories, and sooo good for you! Here's what I've been putting into the blender:

Ingredients:
6 ice cubes
1 banana (chopped)
1/2 cup frozen marionberries from last summer
[when I have them] 1/4 cup fresh strawberries
canned pear juice (about 1/4 cup)
1/4 cup or so soy milk
1 1/2 T. flaxseed meal

This makes one full glass, which is just perfect. Not too much, not too little, and just cool enough to drink during the heat wave.

YUM!
